Step 1: Open up your picture

Step 2: Duplicate the layer of the picture. (layer>duplicate layer)

Step 3: Go to filter>sketch>halftone pattern. you’ll see something like this. you can adjust the pattern size, contrast and type to your liking.

Step 4: Click ok and you’ll see some changes to your picture. Now select the eraser tool and erase the subject or the part that you don’t want.

Step 5: Now lower the opacity of the duplicate layer around 40%-70% depends on your picture but i use 30% for the picture above.

Step 6: Go to layer>merge down. add coloring/psds.

Step 7: After you’ve done with everything go to layer>flatten image.

Tips: you can change the color of the halftone pattern using the color picker.

Note: you can also skip step 4 if you don’t want to erase the subject. Sometimes it looks good too!
